Contract & Schedule of Values
Review a contract, build a Schedule of Values, allocate cost defensibly across line items. This is where every billing cycle starts — and where most disputes begin. You learn the method.
Field Evidence → Daily Log
A normal day on the job. Field notes arrive. You turn them into a reviewed daily log, a cost record, and documented progress toward your billable SOV line items.
Unforeseen Condition → Additive Change Order
Something in the field changes the scope. You run AI as your PM, gather what you need, calculate the additive change, and produce a defensible package to send the GC.
Deductive Change Order
Scope comes back out. You calculate what to give back — and only what the work removed. Fixed versus variable. You don't give back more than you removed.
Pay App Documentation
The project moves forward. You produce payment documentation: reviewed progress, supporting field evidence, a professional communication to the GC. Clear and defensible.
Independent Rerun on a New Packet
You do it again — unassisted, on a different project scenario. That is the measure. Not what you understood in the room. Whether you can rerun it Monday without help.
The session uses one synthetic composite contractor and one synthetic project. Every exercise produces a specific output. You decide what leaves your desk and what goes back for revision. Education only — no pitch, no platform, no pressure.
Laptop, browser, AI login. That's it.
- Laptop and its charger. Phones and tablets are for scanning QR codes and backup only — you will be typing and pasting throughout.
- A current browser — Chrome or Edge preferred; Safari works. You will run two windows side by side: the workshop portal in one, your AI tool in the other. The whole setup is one line: "Open the workshop portal on the left. Open your AI Job Box on the right. We will release the job one piece at a time."
- A working AI login — ChatGPT or Claude — signed into the browser. Nothing is installed in the room. Browser-only, always.
- One real business problem from a current or recent project — optional for Q&A and your post-workshop planning. All live exercises use the synthetic project, so do not bring confidential client material.
Desktop apps (ChatGPT or Claude): You may use them if you are already comfortable. In-room setup help and troubleshooting cover the browser only.
About 10 minutes. Mandatory readiness only — deeper prep optional.
Start with the 10-minute readiness check: verify that you can sign into your AI account in the browser on the laptop you are bringing. That is the one hard requirement. Deeper company and role setup is self-paced and optional.

MDM / company device policy: If your company's device management policy restricts new browser logins or extensions, test your AI login before the session day and let AGC East Tennessee know in advance. We will make sure you have a working setup before the session starts.

This is a paid, practical learning workshop. You will work through construction examples on your own laptop and leave with the materials and instructions to use what you learned. The closing form asks for feedback and offers optional learning tips and a one-time practice follow-up.

No. You use your own AI account — the workshop never connects to it. Evidence is transferred by human hands only: text you copy and paste, documents you download and upload. The portal never connects to your AI account, email, files, or any company system.
You shouldn't take anyone's word for it. That's why the session works the way it does: you run the workflow yourself, on a realistic construction project, from contract to pay app documentation. By the end, you know whether it works because you did it — not because someone told you it did.
The session is designed for that. The pre-work verification takes 10 minutes (sign into your account; paste a sentence; confirm you get a response). The session itself starts with the context model — the four containers that organize how AI fits into a construction workflow — before any exercise begins. You do not need prior AI experience.
You will probably move faster through the exercises. The independent rerun at the end — on a different project scenario — is where experienced users find the most value. You will leave with a documented workflow you can hand to your team.
Built primarily for GCs and subcontractors. If you're an associate — insurance, legal, supplier or vendor — you are welcome. Bring a workflow question, and during the scheduled Q&A we will help connect the method to your work.
What we collect and what we don't
When you register for workshop access, we collect what you enter — name, email, and role — and use it to run this event: your personal access link, pre-work, and workshop materials. Additional learning emails are optional, as described below.
During the workshop, you use your own AI account. The workshop portal is browser-only and never connects to your AI account, email, files, or any company system. Evidence is human-transferred only: text you copy and paste from the portal into your AI tool; documents you download and then upload. No automated bridge, ever.
Your workshop materials are included with the session. You can separately choose occasional learning tips or one follow-up practice packet about eight days afterward. Both choices are optional and are used only for the learning support described.
